In the cellar

After being picked, the grapes are transferred to the cellar. Here, our aim is to obtain wines which reveal their terroir and combine balance, great finesse and a pleasant blend of aromatic complexity – hallmarks of the Charles Baur range.

Each different type of wine (of which we produce twenty-three varieties annually) requires its own savoir faire.

Though it is not possible to achieve great wines without first-class grapes, the fruit on its own does not guarantee the production of top quality wine.
